About CheckMyDrift

CheckMyDrift is a free stick drift test for game controllers. Plug in or pair a Switch, PlayStation, Xbox or PC controller, and it measures how far each thumbstick moves on its own while you're not touching it. You get a number for each stick, a plain answer about whether it's drifting, and the steps to fix it.

How it works

The test uses your browser's built-in gamepad support to read the sticks directly. Everything runs on your device. No readings are sent anywhere and nothing is installed.

The fix guides follow Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox's own support pages, which are linked on each guide.

Who runs it

CheckMyDrift is an independent project run by J. Smith in Nebraska. It isn't affiliated with Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft. The site is free and paid for by ads and some labeled affiliate links.
